Studies have proven that integrating the arts into healthcare settings helps cultivate a healing environment and provide comfort to patients, families, visitors and staff. Our recent advisory project at Duke Raleigh Hospital included commissioning artwork for the new South Pavilion designed by renowned design firm, Perkins + Will.
Artists selected include Donald Martiny, Sangsun Bae, Maya Freelon, Randy Shull, Leah Sobsey, Pete Sack, Georgia Tardy and Shelley Smith.
